Mediation
Some of our clients choose to craft their own destiny, that is, not allow a strange man or strange woman in a black robe, who never before met them, decide their destiny. Clients, who wish to maintain control over their destiny, and the outcome of their disputes, choose mediation, which is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
Mediation allows parties to resolve their disputes with less trauma, expense, and delay than the traditional litigation process. Unlike the traditional litigation process, where each party retains his or her own attorney, mediation allows the parties to split the cost of, and use, one mediator.
A mediator is a neutral third party who does not represent either party, and who facilitates communication, and the identification and resolution of the issues involved in a dispute.
If you choose to mediate and handle your dispute in a less inflammatory fashion, you will be less traumatized, which ultimately benefits you, your family, friends, and co-workers.
Mediation is voluntary. Individuals who are struggling with issues or parties in dispute can meet with Karen Levian to work on the resolution of their issues and disputes.
